Cara Pandang dalam Hidup


Suatu hari seorang ayah dari keluarga yang sangat kaya membawa anaknya ke desa dengan tujuan untuk menunjukkan padanya kehidupan orang-orang miskin.

Mereka menghabiskan waktu dua hari satu malam di sebuah pertanian yang dianggap milik keluarga yang sangat miskin.

Saat kembali dari perjalanan tersebut, sang ayah bertanya pada anaknya,
"Bagaimana perjalanannya?"
"Sangat berkesan, Yah."
"Apakah kau melihat bagaimana kehidupan orang-orang miskin?" tanya sang ayah.
"Oh, iya," kata si anak.
"Jadi, katakan pada ayah, apa yang telah kau pelajari dari perjalanan ini?" tanya sang ayah.

Si anak menjawab:
"Saya melihat bahwa kita mempunyai satu anjing dan mereka punya empat.
Kita punya kolam yang panjangnya mencapai tengah-tengah kebun dan mereka mempunyai sungai kecil yang tak berujung.
Kita mempunyai lampu-lampu impor di taman kita dan mereka mempunyai bintang-bintang di langit.
Pekarangan kita hanya mencapai halaman depan dan milik mereka tak terbatas sampai ujung langit.
Kita mempunyai sebidang tanah untuk tinggal dan mereka mempunyai lapangan yang luasnya di luar penglihatan kita.
Kita mempunyai pembantu yang melayani kita, tetapi mereka melayani orang lain.
Kita membeli makanan kita, tetapi mereka menanam sendiri bahan makanan mereka.
Kita mempunyai dinding di sekeliling harta benda untuk melindunginya; mereka mempunyai teman-teman untuk melindungi mereka."

Ayah dari si anak tersebut tidak dapat berkata apa-apa.

Kemudian, si anak menambahkan, "Terima kasih Ayah telah menunjukkan padaku betapa miskinnya kita."

Bukankah cara pandang itu sangat menakjubkan?
Membuatmu takjub akan apa yang akan terjadi jika kita semua bersyukur atas semua yang kita miliki, daripada mencemaskan sesuatu yang tidak kita miliki.

Kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang Dapat Merusak Otak

Berikut ini adalah kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang dapat merusak otak:


Tidak Sarapan
Orang yang tidak sarapan mempunyai kadar gula darah yang rendah. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan persediaan nutrisi ke otak menjadi tidak cukup dan dapat menyebabkan kemunduran fungsi otak.


Terlalu Banyak Makan
Hal ini menyebabkan pembekuan pada pembuluh otak, dan mengakibatkan penurunan fungsi otak.


Merokok
Hal ini menyebabkan bermacam-macam penyusutan otak dan dapat menyebabkan penyakit Alzheimer.


Terlalu Banyak Mengkonsumsi Gula
Terlalu banyak gula dapat mengganggu penyerapan protein dan nutrisi sehingga dapat mengakibatkan kekurangan gizi dan dapat mengganggu perkembangan otak.


Polusi Udara
Otak adalah pemakai oksigen terbesar dalam tubuh kita. Menghirup udara yang tercemar akan mengurangi pemasukan oksigen ke dalam otak, sehingga dapat mengurangi kegunaan/efisiensi otak.


Kurang Tidur
Tidur memperkenankan otak kita untuk beristirahat. Kurang tidur dalam waktu yang cukup lama akan mempercepat kematian sel-sel otak.


Kepala Ditutup Saat Tidur
Tidur dengan kepala ditutup dapat menaikkan kadar karbondioksida dan mengurangi kadar oksigen sehingga dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan otak.


Mempekerjakan Otak Saat Sakit
Bekerja keras atau belajar saat sedang sakit dapat menyebabkan penurunan efektivitas otak sehingga dapat merusak otak.


Kurangnya Menstimulasi Pikiran
Berpikir adalah cara terbaik untuk melatih otak kita. Kurangnya menstimulasi otak dengan cara berpikir dapat menyebabkan penyusutan otak.


Jarang Berbicara
Komunikasi yang cerdas akan memajukan efisiensi otak.

Ayam atau Telur?



Manakah yang ada terlebih dahulu, ayam atau telur?


Telur. Ayam zaman modern umumnya diyakini sebagai "keturunan" Archeopteryx, jenis burung tertua. Makhluk yang hidup 150 juta tahun lalu di zaman Jurassic itu pada suatu ketika berevolusi menjadi hewan yang merupakan satu generasi pendahulu ayam masa kini. Makhluk ini bertelur, dan kemudian muncullah ayam yang kita kenal sekarang. Jadi, telur ada terlebih dahulu.

Petani dan Keledai



Suatu hari seekor keledai milik petani terjatuh ke dalam sumur. Keledai itu menangis selama beberapa jam sementara si petani mencoba mencari cara untuk menyelamatkannya. Akhirnya, petani berpikir: keledai itu sudah tua, dan sumur itu memang sebenarnya mau ditutup. Bukankah tidakrugi jika tidak menyelamatkan keledai?

Lalu petani itu memanggil semua tetangganya untuk datang dan menolongnya. Mereka semua membawa sekop dan mulai menggali tanah dan memasukkannya ke dalam sumur. Pada awalnya, keledai menyadari apa yang sedang terjadi dan menangis sejadi-jadinya. Kemudian, karena orang-orang tidak mempedulikannya, ia akhirnya diam.

Beberapa saat kemudian, petani akhirnya melihat ke dalam sumur. Dia terperanjat dengan apa yang dilihatnya. Pada setiap sekopan tanah yang menimpa punggung keledai, keledai itu melakukan sesuatu yang menakjubkan. Ia akan mengguncangkan badannya dan naik selangkah ke atas dari tanah yang jatuh.

Sebagaimana para tetangga petani itu menuangkan tanah ke dalam sumur dan jatuh menimpa punggung keledai, keledai itu akan mengguncangkan badannya dan naik selangkah ke atas. Pada akhirnya, semua orang takjub dengan usaha si keledai untuk naik ke atas, dan akhirnya dia dapat keluar dari sumur.

MORAL:

Dalam hidup ini selalu ada tanah yang ditimpakan kepada kita, semua bentuk masalah.
Cara untuk keluar dari sumur adalah mengguncangkan badan dan mengambil satu langkah ke atas.
Setiap masalah kita adalah batu loncatan.
Kita dapat keluar dari sumur terdalam dengan cara tidak berhenti, tidak pernah menyerah!
Guncangkan semua masalah dan ambilsatu langkah ke atas!

Ingatlah lima cara sederhana untuk menjadi bahagia:

1. Bebaskan dirimu dari kebencian - Belajar memaafkan.
2. Bebaskan pikiranmu dari kecemasan - Kebanyakan kecemasan yang Anda pikirkan itu tidak terjadi.
3. Hidup sederhana dan bersyukurlah dengan apa yang Anda miliki.
4. Banyak memberi/berdana.

Risiko Buta Akibat Merokok



Anda perokok? Sebaiknya Anda segera menghentikan kebiasaan itu. Para peneliti di Inggris menemukan hubungan antara kebiasaan merokok dengan penyakit yang menyebabkan kebutaan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap 4000 orang relawan yang rata-rata berusia 75 tahun, perokok berisiko lebih tinggi mengalami kerusakan daya penglihatan. Jadi masih mau merokok?

Perspective on Life


One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their returned from their trip, the father asked his son.
"How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what you learned from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night...
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serves us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?
Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Mathematics Formula for a Positive Life

Turn your life from negative into positive!
Why must change the negative into positive? Negative words and negative thinking may take negative effects.

What would it be if you always say negative words? Just think about this: there is someone who always says about negative sides of other people, there is someone who always lies, or there is someone who always says dirty words. Do you like that people? No one wants to make friend with that kind of people.

What would it be if you always think negative? Just think about this: there is someone who always sigh, there is someone who always feels bored, there is someone who always pessimist. Do you feel tired if you always feel like that? Negative thinking will crush your mind. You will get headache if you always think negative, it will damage your health.

How to turn the negative into positive?
Now, take a look at this Mathematics formula:

Negative added negative wouldn't be positive.

(-) + (+) = (-), if (-) > (+)
Negative added positive wouldn't be positive if the positive smaller than negative.

(-) + (+) = (+), if (+) > (-)
Negative would be positive if it's added by positive, in condition positive must be larger than negative.

This is the good one, positive added positive always be positive.

So, try to add positive things in our life. Think positive and use positive words would have positive effects. Try to add something useful in your life. Step by step, turn your life into positive. Liver Damage


The main cause of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

2. Not urinating in the morning.


3. Too much eating.


4. Skipping breakfast.


5. Consuming too much medication.


6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.


7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oil like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.

8. Consuming raw (overly done). Food also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3 - 5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.


We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule'.

Because:

Evening at 9 - 11 p.m.:
is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a house wife is still in an un-relaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.

Evening at 11 p.m. - 1 a.m.:
is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 1 - 3 a.m.:
is the detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5 a.m.:
detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.

Morning 5 - 7 a.m.:
detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9 a.m.:
absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6.30 a.m. for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7.30 a.m. is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10 a.m. rather than no meal at all.

Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4 a.m. is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Story of a Donkey



One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.


He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.


A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.


As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!


MORAL:
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up!

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less from people but more from God.

No Breakfast
